Experimental ambient noise music, made by and for people who do not exist. This album in particular was inspired in part through work with the plant Salvia Divinorum and esoteric/occult philosophy.

In a world where so many of us have lost our connection with nature, this collection offers a grounding influence. Hesse reminds us that the life of a tree is a metaphor for our own. An absolutely beautiful little collection for lazy summer days.

Nobel Laureate Louise Glück has done it again. Another profound, haunting, and moving collection, full of ponderings on the meanings and implications of life, death, and the passage of time.

Asano is my favorite Mangaka and this series is another knock out of the park for him. From the master of dark, broading, and borderline nihilistic comes an adorable and enriching tale about the bond between two middle school-aged grils as they navigate life in a world that has become inhabited by space invaders whose intent remains bizarrley unclear. Soon to be adapted into an Anime!

Full of existential thoughts about love, loneliness, humanity and existence, the stories in "I'm Waiting for You" are all beautiful and emotionally resonant. They are as cute and endearing as they are earth-shatteringly profound.
A surreal existentialist classic from Japan. Eerie, hautning, visceral, and claustophobic, I swear I could taste and feel the grit of sand in my mouth by the end. Makes a great beach read!
i could tell you all about how this novella is a masterpeice of postmodernism, but I would prefer not to.
