Published: Sounds True - September 4th, 2018

This book should be required reading for every human being. Death is inevitable, and our culture seems to focus on exclusively trying to deny that fact and it is an extraorinarily toxic mentality. The closer you get with death, the closer you get to life and love. Open yourself. Do not be afraid. We are all just walking each other home. I love you.

The Holographic Universe: The Revolutionary Theory of Reality Cover Image

Published: Harper Perennial - September 6th, 2011

For anyone even remotely interested in the convergence of Science and Metaphysics, this book is a must-read. Talbot masterfully combines science, research, theories on Human Consciousness, and eloquence into a colorful collage which in my opinion remains un-rivaled as the pinnacle of its genre. His narrative is factually detailed while remaining unpretentious; at times he is capable of reducing the empyrean to the mundane. The reader comes away feeling awe-struck, with a new understanding of the nature of subjective reality.

You owe absolutely every aspect of your life to fungi. Fungi throw our concepts of individuality and even intelligence into question. They are metabolic masters, earth makers, and key players in all of life’s processes. They can change our minds, heal our bodies, and even help us remediate environmental disaster. By examining fungi on their own terms, Sheldrake reveals how these extraordinary organisms—and our relationships with them—are changing our understanding of how life works.

"Sometimes fate is like a small sandstorm that keeps changing directions. You change direction but the sandstorm chases you. You turn again, but the storm adjusts. Over and over you play this out, like some ominous dance with death just before dawn. Why? Because this storm isn’t something that blew in from far away, something that has nothing to do with you. This storm is you. Something inside of you. So all you can do is give in to it, step right inside the storm, closing your eyes and plugging up your ears so the sand doesn’t get in, and walk through it, step by step. There’s no sun there, no moon, no direction, no sense of time. Just fine white sand swirling up into the sky like pulverized bones. That’s the kind of sandstorm you need to imagine. "

We live in a subjective archetypal based reality, generated collectively by our consciousness.  A polyamorous bedding of disciplines traditionally divorced by the gatekeeping ego of intellectualism: Science, psychology, history, religion, sociology, alchemy, art, and the occult are giving equal staging in this orgiastic melding of the subconscious with the conscious. Consider this a bit of a laymans guide to how to interpret those symbols and archetypes. that make up this dream we call real life.

Published: Koyama Press - June 3rd, 2014

'Safari Honeymoon' is a satire wrapped up in an entertaining science-fiction package. In a dream-like mode incorporating surrealist aspects he introduces a newly married couple whose honeymoon takes them to another planet teeming with life, where they plan on hunting and killing indigenous species for sport. Although the book is pretty short, there are several themes which Jacobs' explores in Safari Honeymoon, such as the privileged class, the wonders of biology, gender roles, and entitlement. Illustrated in Jacobs' highly simplistic yet highly detailed art style, the colors are eye-catching and vivid and every line counts. Every page is a wonder to behold.

Bed: Stories Cover Image

Published: Melville House - April 1st, 2007

Lin is able to deftly create moods that capture the melancholy, depression, confusion, loneliness and despair of existence. Many of the characters in the stories are twenty-somethings trying to find love or happiness and struggling to figure out what it is to live. They feel isolated and lost, dull and bored, unable to fit into what they feel a happy adult life should be. (Sound familiar?) While this may sound like a depressing group of stories, Lin is also darkly humorous and a master of the absurd and weird.
