See what Aidan is reading....
A fun modern remix of a classic. Little Women is an all time favorite of mine and I was very skeptical about this book. However, I loved it. I think it's a cute retelling of Louisa May Alcott's novel, and it brings something new for younger readers!
This book has so many twist and turns it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. This novel is without a doubt one of my all time favorite mysteries. Plus, there is a great series adaptation on HBO starring Amy Adams that I defintitely recommend! Five stars for Gillian Flynn's novel!
This novel was a quick and easy read. This story is the first book in the Noumena series from Lindsay Ellis. This book was really engaging and a fun take on the Sci-Fi genre as a whole. It was a pleasure to read the whole way through, and it explored some fascinating ideas of real substance with great heart and feeling. The pace was excellent, the plot was excellent, the characters seemed real, flawed, and likeable. The author is actually a Film, TV, Musical and Book critic on YouTube and I definitely recommend everyone to go check her channel out. You can also read the sequel The Truth of the Divine which is currently on our shelves as well!
This novel was a fantastic surprise! It was a fun read. The dialogue was natural and perfectly fitting, the setting was so descriptive but not too lengthy, and the theme of the story was so well planted. If you love teen dramas, this book is 100% for you!
Amanda Gorman is an inspiration and is absolutely brilliant. Her poems are beautifully written and full of clarity and passion. I highly recommend this collection of her work.
I mean... It's Gossip Girl. There is something so thrilling about an anonymous student spreading rumors and lies about a group of rich and pampered New Yorkers. You see all the scandal and drama unfold through the perspective of a Constance-Billard alumni. As somebody who is OBSESSED with The CW show, I'm happy to report that Cecily von Ziegesar's novel is an absolute page-turner that'll keep everyone and their mother entertained. Plus, it's just in time for the recent reboot on HBO Max, so get ready to binge-read and binge-watch!
This novel is definitely one that I didn't think I would like, but I was pleasantly surprised. The story reimagines history so that George Washington became the first king of America instead of the first President. We are brought to present day D.C. following the young royals as the eldest is about be crowned the Queen of America. There is scandal, mystery and of course there is drama! It reminds me of both The Selection and Gossip Girl. It also looks like the author, Katharine McGee, is writing more books for the series, so there could potentially be a film or tv adaptation in the near future. So... read it before you see it, I guess!
This book is about a young girl who is searching for a mother and finds one in an unexpected place. At it's core, this book is about love and the people who help you through this crazy thing called life.
