WWI HISTORY: Music by the Gilbert & Sullivan Society

This April the Doylestown Bookshop will be partnering with the Doylestown Historical Society to host events through the month of April as a precursor to The World War I Commemoration programming the DHS will celebrate throughout the town in May 2017. This year the focus is on World War I, specifically the role that Doylestown and its citizens played in the Great War. In order to honor the past and all those who were touched by the war, we will be hosting four speaking events here at the Doylestown Bookshop with hopes of providing a space for reflection and education. For other events in this series, please visit our WWI History Series page.
Saturday, April 29th from 4:00-5:00pm
Music by the Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society
It's time to celebrate! Our WWI History Series has come to a close, following our five speakers and presentations about everything from the Conscientious Objectors to the YMCA. To wrap up our Series, we are hosting the Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society, who will be performing songs that were popular in that era, as well as those that were composed and associated with the Great War. Don't miss them on Saturday, April 29th from 4:00-5:00pm at The Doylestown Bookshop.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our WWI History Series! And it's not over - The Doylestown Historical Society is continuing their Commemoration of the Centennial of WWI through May with events like an Armory Plaque Dedication at the Old National Guard Armory and an open house at the Doylestown Airport. Don't miss out on some truly unique experiences around town and a chance to learn even more about Bucks County, Doylestown, and our role in WWI.
