What does a Literary Agent really do for writers? What do you need to know before you contact an agent? And is an agent right for you and your writing career right now? Literary Agent Marie Lamba will offer a peek behind the curtain at the many things agents do for their clients and at how writers can help themselves when approaching agents and seeking publication.
Marie Lamba is a Literary Agent at The Jennifer De Chiara Literary Agency in New York City (www.jdlit.com), where she represents picture books, middle grade and young adult fiction, along with general and women's fiction and some memoir. Her work appears in the short story anthology Liar Liar (Mendacity Press), and her articles are in more than 100 publications including national magazines such as Writer’s Digest, Garden Design and RWR.
