Doylestown: KATHRYN MCKENNA - Man About Town

The Doylestown Bookshop is excited to welcome back Kathryn McKenna, author of Man About Town, for a presentation and Q&A on Saturday, November 18th at 2:00pm! Man About Town is the story of Lester Trauch, the much admired newsman for The Intelligencer for 51 years and writer of the daily column "Man About Town."

Man About Town

Kathryn was commissioned by the Doylestown Historical Society to write a book of his life, working with the Society and a number of its volunteers. She has compiled the best of Trauch's columns as well as personal tidbits about his life. These gems have been woven into a narrative that includes six walks around town and three drives beyond town.

Whether or not you remember this eccentric writer or his legendary career, you will be fascinated by his take on landmarks, celebrities, little known people, places, events, and many offbeat topics that enlighten you on things you never knew before.
