Educator's Night

It's Educator's Night!

Open exclusively to educators (teachers, librarians, and administrators), this evening is your chance to hear from publishers about wonderful new books for your students, chat with fellow educators over refreshments, and sign up for The Doylestown Bookshop's author events program, email newsletters and our educator's discount program.

Publisher sales reps from Penguin, Scholastic, and Barron's will briefly present the best new books for elementary, middle, and high school students. Handouts will be provided, and all books will be available for sale.

Featuring special guest authors:

Jennifer Hansen Rolli (Just One More)

Lauren Magaziner (The Only Thing Worse Than Witches)

Janice Gable Bashman (Predator)

Tiffany Schmidt (Send Me A Sign, Bright Before Sunrise, Hold Me Like a Breath, Adventures of Black Dog: Beached Whale)

Meet Glenda Childs, the owner of The Doylestown Bookshop who will be on hand to discuss special services and partnership opportunities for schools and organizations. Our Children's Book Buyer, Hannah Smith, will be discussing what books she's excited about that are to be released in the Fall and Winter months. Marketing & Events Manager Krisy Paredes will discuss book fairs, author visits, and more!

It's a great opportunity to enjoy the company of our book-loving community and experience professional development at the same time. Everyone in attendance will be entered into our drawings for free books and swag for your classrooms.

Space is limited, register today (it's free!). Please RSVP by August 14th.

Jennifer Hansen Rolli ran her own design firm for many years before returning to her first love: oil painting. She lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her family. She (usually) gets a kick out of her own children pushing for “just one more” until the occasional crash! boom! bang! and the realization that she has let them express a little too much independence! Just One More is her first book for children. After college, Lauren worked on two delightful Scholastic magazines: writng for the issues and creating online teaching resources. Now she currently lives in Brooklyn and continues to write humorous, whimsical, wonky children's books. Visit her website: laurenmagaziner.com.
