An amazingly told tale about the Drow swordsman Drizzt Do'urden as he turns his back on the slaver culture of his race people and focusing more on the ideals of fraternity and peace. For fans of D&D this book's setting will seem familiar since it takes place in the Forgotten Realms setting and is one of the best long running fantasy series I have ever read.

— Peter S.

The origins of one of D&D's biggest characters Homeland goes through the formative years of Drizzt's life and show how he's molded by the dark oppresive matriarchy of the Drow and their Dark Goddess Lolth. With his own moral code formed by his father he has to see through the lies he's been fed about his race's origins and hope he survives the cutthroat world of Drow politics.

— From Peter's Staff Picks

Drow ranger Drizzt Do’Urden, first introduced in The Icewind Dale Trilogy, quickly became one of the fantasy genre’s standout characters. But Homeland first reveals the startling tale of how this one lone drow walked out of the shadowy depths of the Underdark, leaving behind a society of evil and a family who want him dead. It is here that the story of this amazing dark elf truly began.
