I don't think it's uncommon for someone to cry while reading a book on Physics - but this is no textbook dispair!Instead this book made me emotional for an unexpected reason. Rovelli manges to cover so much ground in such a thin book - and always with a tenderness. When you read this book you'll not only learn about the laws of Physics, but gain a better appreciation for this universe we inhabit.

I found while reading this book I felt an intimacy with Slate not only for the universal experiences she touches on - even when explained in the most excentic of ways.
I knew I would love this book when I read the page that said “As the image of myself becomes sharper in my brain and more precious, I feel less afraid that someone else will erase me by denying me love.”
