A native of the Philadelphia area, Kathy graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School, where she later taught art. She went on to receive an Elementary Education degree from West Chester University and a Masters degree in Art Education from Kutztown University. She lives in Horsham, PA with her family and a menagerie of pets
