Philadelphia icon Larry Kane will be visiting the Bookshop on Tuesday, June 15th at 7:00 pm.  Everybody knows the newscaster/author as Philadelphia's most trusted voices, but before he got behind a news-desk, he was a 21-year old reporter amidst one of seminal moments in music history: traveling with the Beatles during their now-legendary 1964-65 American tours.

Over the years, he has proven to be a Beatles historian and aficionado beyond compare, with insight and access to the Fab Four that was beyond the reach of most writers and journalists.  Drawing from these amazing first-hand accounts and lengthy interviews with the band and the periphery surrounding them, he wrote Ticket to Ride, a chronicle of the '64 and '65 tours that changed rock 'n roll forever, and Lennon Revealed, an intimate portrait of the gifted musician's life, which was cut tragically short in 1979.

Great gifts for the Beatlemaniac father in your life.
