Debut Young Adult Author Panel

Join the Doylestown Bookshop for a Q&A and book signing with five young adult authors. Randy Ribay, Marcy Beller Paul, I. W. Gregorio, Sharon Huss Roat, and Cordelia Jensen will be here on Saturday December 12th at 1:30pm. Aspiring authors, readers, teens and parents looking for the perfect present to give to their teens should stop on by to hear from these talented new authors!

I. W. Gregorio is a practicing surgeon by day, masked avenging YA writer by night. After getting her MD, she did her residency at Stanford, where she met the intersex patient who inspired her debut novel, None of the Above (Balzer + Bray / HarperCollins). She is a founding member of We Need Diverse Books™ and serves as its VP of Development. Her writing has appeared in The Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News and Journal of General Internal Medicine. A recovering ice hockey player, she lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two children.
Cordelia Jensen graduated with an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2012. Cordelia was Poet Laureate of Perry County in 2006 and 2007. She is a Writer in Residence at the Big Blue Marble Bookstore in Philadelphia where she teaches creative writing classes for kids and teens and conducts author interviews for their blog. She also teaches in the creative writing department at Bryn Mawr College. Cordelia is represented by Sara Crowe of Harvey Klinger, Inc.

Marcy Beller Paul is a young adult author, former editor, and full-time mom who still has all the notes she passed in seventh grade (and knows how to fold them).

She graduated from Harvard University and lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children. Underneath Everything will be published by Balzer + Bray, an imprint of HarperCollins, in Fall 2015. It is her first novel.

Randy Ribay was born in the Philippines and raised in Michigan and Colorado. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he specialized in language and literacy. He is the English Department Chair at an all-boys high school in Philadelphia, a reviewer for The Horn Book, and a nerd-of-all-trades. Randy lives in Camden, New Jersey with his wife and two dog-children. Visit his website at www.randyribay.com and find him on Twitter @randyribay.
Sharon Huss Roat grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, earned her BS in Communication from the University of Delaware, and worked in public relations for 20 years before discovering what she really wanted to be when she grew up! When not writing (or reading), you might find her planting vegetables in her backyard garden or sewing costumes for a school musical. BETWEEN THE NOTES (HarperTeen, June 2015) is her first novel.
